Saving Face Documentary Screening

Every year hundreds of people, mostly women, are attacked with acid in Pakistan. Saving Face follows several of these survivors, their fight for justice, and a London-based reconstructive surgeon who has returned to his homeland to help them restore their faces and their lives.

MPILP is a 501(c)(3) student-run organization that raises money to provide summer grants to students working for non-profit legal agencies serving the underserved and underrepresented. All proceeds from MPILP's Annual Goods and Services Auction benefit MPILP's public interest summer grant program. In the summer of 2012, MPILP provided $128,000 in grants to 32 University of Maryland Law Students.
