Greetings!
Thank you to all who joined us last night for our 2nd annual 'Coffee House'. What beautiful student artwork and performances! We are so proud of our students' hard work!
WPS New York and Connecticut campuses are fortunate to have partnered with Landmark College for the past two semesters to offer our students a chance to take online college level courses targeting essential college readiness skills such as self-advocacy, resilience, time management, and organization. This week, Introduction to Communications course participants Lee Block, Daniel Menachemson, Mike Myers, and Robbie Wilson traveled to Winston's New York campus to deliver their final presentations to Landmark Professor Eric Matte and their WPS New York counterparts. A great opportunity to increase awareness and share experiences. Congratulations all!
Benefit Chair, Nancy Heller is pleased to announce that the next meeting of the Spring Benefit Committee is on Thursday, January 8 th at WPS. Please RSVP to benefit@winstonprep.edu. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy at njhrml@optonline.net. All parents are welcome! This is a great way to meet other parents and support Winston!
Please save the date for our student events, 'The Snowball' on January 9th at 6:30pm and the 'Fencing Exhibition' on January 28th from 1-2pm where Fencing Club students will be showcasing their talent.
Lego Drive! WPS is now collecting unwanted Legos to be used during lunch-time activities. Please drop them off to Ms. Ortiz in the main office.
Speaking of Legos, let's build a safer community! Upon our return Jan 5, our campus support team has asked us to remind our families to please exercise patience and caution during drop off and dismissal. Please drive slowly, remain in line, and keep our community safe. We appreciate everyone's efforts. Way to go Bulldogs, what a great effort! In total, we collected 45 pairs of pajamas for the Pajama Program Drive! Items were donated earlier today to our local chapter at the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk. Thank you to all who participated! Last but not least, a very Happy Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight and a Merry Christmas for those celebrating next week, from our home to yours!
Best,
Lauren McBeth
