Dear Members, Delegates and Friends:

As my term as President draws to a close, I hope to see you at our upcoming events and the annual meeting during December. You can find the details in this newsletter.
During 2015, the Coalition embarked on an expansion to New York. This shift moves the Coalition to a national platform.
The enthusiasm and interest that we found in New York demonstrated that we have a unique and attractive model, different from most bar organizations. Our ability to attract large law firm members and corporate legal departments, while also providing value to smaller firms and legal departments, has created a valuable network for our members. The In-House to Power-House Series was another example of an initiative that we implemented this year to expand and solidify our in-house counsel membership. As a whole, we had a variety of interesting and powerful speakers: from Christy Hefner, Chairman of Hatch Beauty to Lucy Lee Helm, General Counsel of Starbucks Corporation to Paulette Brown, President of the American Bar Association, just to name a few. Behind the scenes, we adjusted our election year and implemented some changes to the by-laws and board governance to ensure that we have active and committed women in leadership and a structure that will allow for further expansion. In closing, I want to thank each of you for trusting me to lead this organization and for your time and support. It has been an honor. We truly are a "coalition" and continue to welcome your thoughts, ideas and suggestions. I also want to welcome Katherine Minarik, Partner at Bartlit Beck, as the incoming President and hope you will provide her with the same level of enthusiasm, dedication and commitment that you have shown me this past year. Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for a successful New Year!

2015 Annual Member Meeting
Dear Delegates:
Please join us for the annual member meeting of the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law's law firm and corporate delegates. Your attendance at the annual meeting will be a vital contribution to the Coalition's work in 2016 as we will be electing next year's slate of officers and board members. Elections must be done by a majority of main delegates.
In addition to our annual elections, the Coalition leadership will provide an overview of our work and growth in 2015, including our planned January 2016 launch of the New York Coalition and more than 20 hours of CLE accredited programming presented by the Coalition over the past 11 months. Our new leadership team will outline our goals and plans for 2016, including ways we may better serve the specific professional goals of our delegates and their colleagues at our member firms and companies.
Coalition committee representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss plans for the coming months.
If you are not your firm or company's delegate, or are not sure if you are, please reach out to the Coalition at Chicago@thewomenscoalition.com. If your firm or company will be transitioning to a new delegate next year, we would love to have you both attend the meeting. Register Today!
