Your Chance to Make Your Voice Heard!!!
Public Meeting on Neuropathic Pain Sponsored by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) invites you to an upcoming public meeting on neuropathic pain associated with peripheral neuropathy to be held on June 10, 2016 from 1pm-5pm (EDT) at the FDA Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland. We are asking you to help make this meeting a success.  Specific details and more information on how you may participate in person or virtually with your computer click here. 

Even if you can't participate in the meeting yourself, there is another way to make your voice heard!  Pam Shlemon, Executive Director for the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy will be attending the meeting in person.  We would like to send her with current information from patients like you about what it is like to live with peripheral neuropathy.  Please complete a very brief survey sharing your experiences and she will present this information at the meeting.  Click here to complete the survey.
FPN Hosts a Webinar on the Use of Cannabis for Neuropathic Pain, May 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. Central Time

Paice, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Director of the Cancer Pain Program in the Division of Hematology-Oncology and a Research Professor of Medicine, Northwestern University; Feinberg School of Medicine. She is also a full member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Paice is the current president of the American Pain Society, board member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, and a past member of the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research panel that developed clinical practice guidelines for cancer pain.
  • Tammy Vance, Executive Vice President for Medical Education at Cresco Labs. Cresco Labs is the leading medical cannabis cultivator and processor in Illinois.

Genetic Testing for Hereditary Peripheral Neuropathies: New Genetic Cause for Charcot-Marie-Tooth
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT) is a

family of inherited disorders of the peripheral nervous system, affecting approximately one in 2,500 Americans. New research from the University of Pennsylvania expands the number of genes known to cause the most common iteration of CMT. On Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:30- 2:30 p.m., Ed Matasy will be speaking about Charcot-Marie-Tooth. Calgary Neuropathy Association
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 12:45-3:00 p.m. Jesse Reimer and Eric Manarintr from Blue Ocean Financial Strategies will speak on Registered Disability Savings Plan and the Disability Tax Credit.
