FASRI Students Place in National Writing Competition

Wow! Three FASRI elementary students were chosen as semifinalists in the "Letters About Literature" nationwide writing contest! Students had the chance to write letters to authors of their favorite books, which were then judged by a panel.

Over 60,000 letters were submitted nationally, with 715 entries from Rhode Island for all three levels of competition.  Of the 290 entries for Level 1 (grades 4 - 6), 59 semifinalist letters were selected by the Letters About Literature national team. Three of those 59 were from FASRI!

Congratulations to Erica Pusztai, Lucy Howland, and Elisseos Papandonatos!
