RI Election Days: No Student Bus Service

RI public schools are closed on election days, meaning there will be no school buses for FASRI students on November 6. Please plan accordingly.

Closings and Delays
Each year, we build some days into the school calendar to cover closings for inclement weather. After Monday and Tuesday's closings, we are still in good standing to finish the year on June 18, 2013.

Thank you for checking TurnTo10.com, our website, and your e-mail for this surprise storm. For future cancellations, we will have our telephone alert system up and running.

Chopin & Debussy Concert in Boston 11/1/2012

From the French Cultural Center website:

How to convey colors through music? Frédéric Chopin was always pondering this question and it led him in never-ending conversations with his friend, the painter Eugène Delacroix. It was also one of the main concerns of Claude Debussy, whose work was greatly influenced by Chopin.

For this program, Professor Yves Henry from the Paris Conservatory will compare these two composers through a choice of pieces pointing out the fact that Debussy really followed the footsteps of Chopin by instituting the piano as an equal of the orchestra.

The pieces will be performed during the first part of the program and reflected on by Professor Henry during the second part.
