Mental Health America of South Carolina Wishes you a Wonderful Holiday Season!!
Thank you for your support throughout the year as Mental Health America of South Carolina works to fulfill its mission to promote mental health, prevent mental and substance use conditions and achieving victory over mental illness and addictions through advocacy, education, research and service.
During this past year, MHASC has met several long-range goals including earning a Three-Year Accredidation from CARF International for Day Treatment Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program and for its Supported Living: Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs.
MHASC has also supported the founding of MHA Lowcountry Affiliate and opened MHASC's second clubhouse program in the state named "Our Place" located on Dorchester Road in North Charleston, SC. We continue on working to found and support affiliates in counties across the state of South Carolina.
In the past year, MHASC has also taken over the property management of three of its Housing properties in Orangeburg, SC: Enderly East Apartments, Allen Hearth Apartments, and Terry Village.
MHASC has also expanded its Community Outreach Program by hiring Jean Ann Lambert as MHASC Statewide Community Outreach Director. Ms. Lambert will be providing access to MHASC programs such as QPR, Suicide Prevention Trainings and IC HOPE Childrens' Mental Health Programs.
