FROM SUPERINTENDENT MUSSOLINE

At this time of year, I like to pay tribute to our thespians - the students in our drama and musical theater programs.  The students in these plays can dance, sing and act as well as many professionals. Whether they are lead performers, in the choir, play in the pit orchestra, design the scenery, or move the props, the professionalism projected from the stage is a joy to behold.

This weekend Downingtown Middle School is presenting The Wizard of Oz,  This is the first of four of our family-friendly musicals to take center stage.  Fun Fact - Premiere magazine once listed the top memorable movie lines in history and "There's no place like home" came in at No 11.  To hear that line as well as "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore" (#62 in the Premiere poll) click here for tickets.

Lionville Middle School will be presenting the show that made Kevin Bacon a star - Footloose
on March 11th at 7 p.m,  March 12th at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. and March 13th at  2 p.m.  Footloose is the story of a town that outlawed dancing and the young newcomer who changes all that.

Currently we have almost 200 students who read one of our chosen books. At least 166 students took the online survey. This event will continue to the end of February.
