FROM SUPERINTENDENT MUSSOLINE

Snow is coming - and on a weekend - how great is that!  It looks like we're going to miss the "blockbuster winter storm" Washington DC is anticipating, but anything over 6 inches is enough to keep us all inside until the storm passes. Saturday will be the perfect time to stay home, crack open a book or board game and enjoy some quality family time.

Please note that all events scheduled for Friday, Saturday  and Sunday have been cancelled.  Our schools will be closed throughout the weekend. Our Facilities crew will be out on Sunday, getting our parking lots cleaned and ready for our students' return on Monday. Should there be any change to Monday's schedule, I will notify you as a decision is made.

Our last day of school for students continues to be June 10th.  As a reminder, should we miss any school in the days to come, our built in emergency weather day of February 12, 2016 (currently a vacation day) will be used to make up any day lost to a weather closure.

Again, enjoy this weekend.  Stay warm and safe.

The 4th annual DASD Mascot Madness kicks off on January 25, 2016 and runs through February 12, 2016!  During this period students and staff in our 16 schools will compete to be the most physically active building. Not only will they be working together in to support their building, but they will be putting themselves on a path to live a longer, fuller, and healthier life.
