Once again, our nation's attention is focused on the loss of nine innocents.  Once again our nation grieves and struggles to find answers.  Once again we are mourning another tragedy. These 'once agains' have to stop.

Earlier this week DASD Chief Security Officer Tim Hubbard and I were at Pickering Valley Elementary School with the Chester County Commissioners and Upper Uwchlan Township officials.  We were there to test out the new $42 million county-wide radio system that would be used in the event of an emergency in any County school or office building.

Bingo! For a great cause.
The East Ward Home and School Association held a Coach Bingo night to help raise funds for their new playground. Hundreds of women (and 2 men) enjoyed the evening.  The old wooden playground that has been enjoyed by so many children over the years must come down and be replaced.   Thank you to all who came out to support their efforts.

Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Camping Trip
Sixth grade students enjoyed an overnight camping trip to Paradise Farms.   Each team had the opportunity to participate in outdoor, hands on lessons.   Activities included team building, canoeing, biological stream studies and physical stream studies.  Even the rain didn't damper the enthusiasm of our campers.
