All 3 high schools named to America's Most Challenging High Schools List

The spring seems to be school ranking time. Newsweek, US News, the Pittsburgh Business Journal, and of more recent time, The Washington Post moved into the K12 school ranking fray.  In the last DLink issue, I talked about the kudos our 'District' received from the Pittsburgh Business Tribune, which ranked DASD 24th in the state academically out of 500 districts

Last week we received notice that all three of our high schools achieved  'national' recognition for being among the most challenging high schools in the nation.   Only 38 Pennsylvania high school programs achieved this honor with DASD being the only multi-high school PA school district to have all district high schools nationally ranked.

Retiring teachers to be honored
by School Board

With over 720 years of service between them, DASD prepares to say good by to 28 retiring teachers, custodians, aides, lunchroom monitors and an assistant principal.   They have watched this district grow from a small rural community to the largest school district in Chester County.   We are among the nation's best as a school district thanks to their hard work, support and commitment to our students.  We will miss you!  Congratulations and best wishes on your new lives as retirees.
