Mayor Karen Davis will be the keynote speaker at the Annual State of the City and Schools Luncheon presented by The Glendora Chamber of Commerce & SoCalGas. Speaking in addition to Mayor Davis will be Glendora Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Robert Voors, Charter Oak Superintendent Dr. Michael Hendricks and Superintendent/President of Citrus College, Dr. Geraldine Perri.

The luncheon will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the Glendora Country Club located at 2400 Country Club Dr. in Glendora. All members of the business and residential community are invited. 

The $30 cost includes a very nice lunch.  Please contact the Glendora Chamber of Commerce at Glendora-Chamber.org/sotc or 626-963-4128 for further information and to make reservations. 
Glendora's Citizen of the Year Nominations

Nominations for the 2015 Glendora's Citizen of the Year presented by The Glendora Chamber of Commerce are now being excepted. Glendora organizations and Citizens have until Monday, February 1, 2016 to submit their nomination form for Glendora's 2015 Citizen of the Year. 

Nomination forms are available at the Glendora Chamber of Commerce, located at 224 N. Glendora Ave.  You may also download the form from the Chamber's website HERE.  

Forms must be delivered to the Chamber office by Monday, February 1, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. No nominations will be accepted after the deadline.
 
Selection criteria includes the following:
 
a)    Contributions to Glendora's community welfare betterment.
b)    Participation in community, civic, and government enterprise.
c)    The lasting value of services related to items (a) and (b).
d)    Demonstration of personal leadership abilities.
e)    Spirit of cooperation with organizations and individuals.
 
Glendora service clubs and non-profit support organizations comprise the board of the Citizen of the Year committee and elect the recipient.  This year's recipient will be selected on Thursday, February 4th.
 
The Citizen of the Year banquet honoring this year's recipient will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Glendora Country Club at 6pm.
