We held our annual Installation and Awards Dinner at the Glendora Country Club June 24. At this year's event there were several awards given to deserving Glendora businesses and chamber members that were voted on by fellow members in the Glendora business community.
 
2014-2015 Glendora Business of the Year was awarded to Vincenti, Lloyd and Stutzman LLP. Since its founding in 1953, Vicenti, Lloyd & Stutzman LLP, a Certified Public Accounting and Business Consulting firm, has built a team of exceptional accounting professionals who have provided responsible and effective accounting, audit and consulting services to thousands of clients throughout the state of California.

2014-2015 New Member of the Year was awarded to Glendora City News. Glendora City News is the well-known, up to the minute, local Glendora news source which started exclusively on Facebook but this past year expanded to a new website. 

2014-2015 Ambassador of the Year was awarded to Ken Salzman of SanZman Productions. Salzman is the owner of SanZman Productions which specializes in dinner theater and murder mystery productions. They have regular shows at the Village Eatery in Glendora and the surrounding area.

The attendees then heard from the 2014-2015 outgoing Chamber President Mercedes Castro. Castro reviewed the great year and is looking forward to continued success for the Chamber and the business community in Glendora. "I have a lot of fond memories of the past year...the first networking lunch, the huge success of Flashback and Cuisines, the leadership of the Chamber and much more. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your President.", Castro said.

Finishing off the evening, was the installation of the 2015-2016 Chamber Board of Directors which will be led by Sheila McClure of McClure Investment Management, LLC. McClure started off her first official presentation, by presenting a new member application, in hand with payment, she received from her Glendora auto mechanic. "I took a look at my trusted advisors and found that my mechanic was not a member yet. Now they are," McClure said. McClure went on to challenge her board and all of the members to "have more skin in the game and look at who you work with. We want the Chamber to have a louder voice for the businesses in the City of Glendora and we need your help to do it."

Chamber Marketing Reminder

Please Note: (Chamber Advertising Procedure Change) Current and soon to be Glendora Chamber members have a lot of advertising available to you that is a part of your membership. We are implementing new easy instructions to get your message out without being left behind. Plus, a lot of it you can easily do yourself. 

First: When wanting to place an ad in one of our publications, email blasts, social media, etc. please send them to:
ads@glendora-chamber.org. We have setup a special address to easily track all ad requests and you must use this address for proper distribution. Sizing can be found on our site HERE. Ad placement will no longer be excepted verbally. Thank you for your cooperation.
