Can you believe it's already July 4th? This summer has really flown by. It’s been an interesting season, working around all of the rain storms. After this week, July is forecast to be hot and dry. As the heat of the summer appears, make sure that you increase watering times on your controller so that your lawn stays lush and green.

We appreciate your patience and continued support these past few months as we worked through the spring service and installations. We have continued to hire service techs and installers to keep up with growing demand.

Have a safe and fun July 4th!

Voting has Begun!

It's that time of year again, when we unabashedly ask your help in voting for your favorite irrigation company (Nature's Helper, of course) in the 2015 Best of Omaha. For the past 5 years, we've garnered the support of our customers, who, each year, have voted us into the Best of Omaha Winner's Circle. We work hard every day to ensure your satisfaction with every contact from phone calls to service appointments. So, we'd like to ask for your support in the 2015 Best of Omaha. Won't you take a few minutes to fill out your Best of Omaha ballot? Voting runs from July 1 through August 20th.

As an added incentive, we’re giving you 4 chances to win prizes with drawings on July 18th, Aug 1st, Aug 15th and the grand prize on Aug 20th. We’ll be giving away lots of gift cards to local restaurants and coffee shops.

Let us know you voted by sending us a copy of your voting certificate, or simply by sending an email stating that you voted to info@natureshelperinc.com and we'll put your name in our drawings. The earlier you vote, the more chances you have to win!

July is Smart Irrigation Month

Did you know that while 75% of our planet is covered in water, our water supply is not unlimited? The earth continually "recycles" its water through evaporation and condensation, so it's important that we take care to conserve it For more information on our water supply, visit the water conservation page on our web site.

This is why we take water-efficiency in our industry so seriously. In fact, Howard Kucera, owner of Nature’s Helper has even partnered with the EPA’s WaterSense program to help promote and educate consumers. We install water-saving sprinkler heads, use drip irrigation in our designs and offer advanced on-site weather monitors and smart controllers. At the very least, everyone should have a rain sensor which automatically shuts off the sprinklers when it’s raining. We feel so strongly about that, we spoke with MUD several years ago, which helped bring about the current rebates offered by MUD.

If you’d like to find out more information about how to ensure your system waters your lawn only when it needs it, give us a call at at (402) 334-2625.

What a Crew!

Sprinkler service technicians are hard to find. In fact, since there is such a limited supply of trained sprinkler techs, we usually hire those with no sprinkler experience and train the applicants that have the right attitude, mechanical ability, and great customer service skills. Techs-in-training receive lots of on the job training as well as classroom training so that they become the best in our industry!

We are super excited to have several new techs in training so that we can meet the needs of our customers. To be a sprinkler tech, you almost have to have super hero skills! Imagine showing up to a property you’ve never been to, working in 90 degree temps digging and trouble-shooting the system in order to find a leak in a poly line that you can’t see because it’s underground. Then, explaining the issue to the customer and completing the work in the time-frame allowed on your schedule. And then repeating this over and over every day.

Our techs are a great bunch of guys! Even after working in the elements (lots of rain, this spring) for long hours, coming back muddy and tired, they love what they do and we love them for that!
