Is Your Sprinkler System Feeling Pressured?
We’ve seen a dramatic increase in sprinkler system repairs due to cracked valves and manifolds in houses west of 72nd Street, attributed to increased water pressure. Think your sprinkler system might be impacted? Find out more information in our latest Lawncare Tips posting.

Keeping Our Drivers Safe
We’ve all heard the dangers of distracted driving, but many of us think we’re such good drivers that we can handle multi-tasking while driving. Since many of our employees spend hours on the road every day, we recently took advantage of the free Distracted Driving Training offered by the National Safety Council.
Our employees learned that many distractions can impact their driving including eating, applying make-up, talking on the phone, and the most dangerous - texting. Because texting involves multiple cognitive functions at once, it can distract a driver for at least 5 seconds. At 55 miles per hour, that’s like driving the length of a football field blindfolded.
Many people, including our employees before this training, believe they can handle minor distractions while driving without incident. However, during a driving simulation, the instructor gave a list of 3 things like a grocery list to remember. Jay Taylor, a Nature’s Helper Service Tech noted he didn’t think talking on the phone was difficult (while driving) until he had to repeat the 3 things and realized he couldn’t give full attention to both activities.
