Serendipity Catering Highlights a Friend
Serendipity is proud to partner with the Hampton Inn Suites Downtown. From meetings to special events, this property has it all in a central location!
We asked sales coordinator Brandi a few questions about what makes this downtown venue stand out from the others.
***
What sets the Hampton event space apart from other venues in downtown Denver?
We have 12 meeting spaces located inside our newly remodeled 6 story hotel ranging from 250-950 square feet. We are just 3 blocks away from the 16th street mall where all the action happens here in Downtown Denver.
What types of events are best suited for the space?
We are perfect for all sizes of events - big and small. We are a great host for board meetings, small group presentations and interview. We are also a great fit for training courses, baby showers, round table discussions and everything in between! Due to the various sizes of our meeting rooms, we can house anything from 3 - 50 people!
What has been your favorite event so far?
The Hershey Company from Pennsylvania did a product launch meeting at our hotel last fall. The staff was great to work with, had lots of fun and interesting team building activities in our meeting spaces and as a bonus left us TONS of candy!
Spring and summer events are coming up! What can be done with the event space for the warmer seasons?
All of our meeting space is indoors and air conditioned, which provides shelter from the hot, hot summer in Denver! We have a dining area on the main floor with windows looking out into the city that is great for lunches; this gives groups a chance to enjoy the sunshine and wonderful food from Serendipity before
returning back to their meetings.

We discovered a few fun facts about the culinary favorites of Colorado:
Whiskey
There were originally three separate towns, with three separate names, where Denver now stands. In 1859, the other names were dropped in return for a barrel of whiskey to be shared by all.
More than 8 percent of the nation's craft breweries can be found in Colorado, which is quite an impressive statistic given that the state is home to less than 2 percent of the country's population. Colorado is home to nearly 200 established breweries.
By 1894, the first peach, pear, apple and grape orchards appeared in the area now known as the Vinelands area. The soil was rich but rainfall was scarce, so barrels of water were hauled by wagons from the river to water young trees.
Beef
Of Colorado's $3.7 billion livestock industry, 75 percent comes from cattle and calves. Colorado is the fourth largest exporter of fresh and frozen beef in the United States.
Beans
Dove Creek, Colorado is the Pinto Bean Capital of the world.
Wine
The first recorded wine production in Colorado was 1899. Colorado Governor George A.Crawford, the founder of Grand Junction in 1881, who first saw the Grand Valley's potential for grape production. He planted 60 acres of wine grapes and other fruit on Rapid Creek above Palisade. Colorado is currently home to nearly 100 licensed wineries.
