Happy New year! I felt an urge to write a Lifelines about some things I have been feeling really strongly about, but I decided against it, because it might offend some. If I had written it though, it would have gone something like this...
If Only...
* If Christians who hate President Obama hated sin, sickness, and Satan that much...
* If we realized that a new president can't do what the King we already have can....
* If we meditated half as much on the Scriptures as we look at our smart phones...
* If we prayed a tenth as much...
* If we were as faithful to the Lord as we used to be - as faithful to Him as we are to check our social media...
* If we were angry about the social injustices that surround us as much as we are about the latest governmental - Illuminati - new world order - they are going to take my guns - conspiracy theory...
* If the new breed of Christians whose motto is "coexist and tolerance" realized that "being separate from the world" is not just having "more laws", but a command from God...
* If we hungered for God as much as we want the Texans to win tomorrow...
* If we believed Jesus' promises even a fraction as much as we hope we will win the $700 million powerball drawing, (even though we have a 30 times greater chance of being elected President)...
* If we cared about how we look to Him like we do to others...
* If we realized we are hypocrites to rant against gay marriage if we entertain ourselves with media full of sexual immorality and adultery.
* If we witnessed to just one person...
* If we had time for Him like we do for everything else...

...but I'm glad I didn't write it. People would have thought I was "just being negative, and pointing out our faults", when I could have been happy and positive. I guess they are right.
