Thoughts on Easily Receiving from the Lord

Reading James 4 one day long ago, it became clear to me that receiving from the Lord is easy...or it's supposed to be.

James said:
"You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures."
(James 4:2b,3)

Receiving is supposed to be as easy as asking for anything that is the Lord's will. The disciples and early Christians asked and freely received. Nothing has changed. So, at this Christmas Season when we celebrate God's gift to us, Jesus the Savior of the world, let's reestablish in our hearts a great truth that will energize our faith.

≈ When we were saved, this is what we had to believe...

   * Gabriel, the angel appeared to a virgin named Mary, and announced she
      was going to give birth to the Savior of the World.

   * The virgin became pregnant by believing the word sent by God.

   * Jesus lived a sinless life and died for our sins on the Cross.

   * He was raised from the dead on the 3rd day.

   * He ascended to Heaven in a cloud.

   * He is coming again.

THE TRUTH...Everything you need from the Lord today, is easier to believe than any of the things in the list above!

So, sit back, repent of any sins if necessary, and ask for what you need.
It's on the way.
