The End of Christianity in America
...if we don't pay attention!
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out -
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out -
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out -
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.
These famous lines were written by Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892-1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis' rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group. They have been restated countless times over the years to address the attitude of, "It's none of my business", in people who should make an issue their business!

One such issue is occurring today all over the world,
especially in Iraq. Our Christian brothers and sisters there are experiencing a modern day holocaust as the world hides its face. Today, as we and our children went about our day in relative security and peace, thousands of Iraqi Christians faced the threat of death or fleeing their cities if they did not convert to Islam.
A red "N" in Arabic, is painted on the entrances to their homes, marking them as being a "Nazarene"(Jesus of Nazareth).
Paul exhorted us in Hebrews 13:3 Remember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings.
Let us purpose in our hearts today with a renewed sense of serious determination...
* to Honor Jesus of Nazareth in all that we do and say, being especially aware of any
temptation to deny Him or be timid in our holy witness. Proudly wear the "N"!
* Pray for those in Prison and Under Persecution for the cause of Christ.
* to Pray for Leaders and all who are in authority over these situations.
...remembering always "It could happen here".
