Look Up into the Sky Today
Look up into the sky today or tonight, and you will see something amazing. It's not as spectacular as you are probably hoping, but it's awesome nevertheless. That's how it is with signs from God. He is right there staring at us in the face, and we often miss it.
A break down of Psalm 19 from the Amplified Version will cause us to never see the sky the same way again, day or night!
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. The stars at night and the visible earth by day, are "speaking" to us about God's glory, majesty, and power. We must discern the symbolism and spiritual meaning they are trying to convey.
2 Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge. Day and night, creation never stops "pouring forth" this revelation of God's glory.
3 There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. You can't hear it with your ears. This knowledge must be revealed. But...
4 Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world. ...It is clearly spoken, even to the ends of the earth. It's available to anyone, anywhere.
Of the heavens has God made a tent for the sun,
Take the Sun as an example...
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; and it rejoices as a strong man to run his course. It's representative of the Bridegroom, Jesus, coming in glory from His Heavenly place. This is why we love to watch a beautiful sunrise...Each one is announcing the coming of Jesus! As it traverses the sky all day, it declares His strength and majesty.
6 Its going forth is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it; and nothing [yes, no one] is hidden from the heat of it. He is everywhere. No one and nothing are hidden or unreachable from Him. Everyone, everywhere feels the heat of His presence.
Look into the sky and the creation all around you. Now what do you "see"? Listen carefully and you can hear the fields, the seas, the sun and the moon praising Him. The trees are singing for joy. (Psalm 69:34, Psalm 96:12, Psalm 148:3) Everywhere throughout creation "His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature are clearly seen". (Romans 1:20)
Look for Him. He is everywhere. And above all, may He be seen in each one of us.
