America has many problems, (an understatement). I love this nation and I don't believe it has ever been in this condition. Even so, are you aware of what the problem is? Do you really see what is coming and the ledge on which we all sit? Do I? Do any of us?
If today, Jesus Himself physically appeared at
1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington D.C. and called a press conference announcing that He was: ending abortion, and fixing unemployment giving everyone a job; bringing peace to the conflicts between Israel and Iran, Israel and the Palestinians, and ending the bloody Civil War in Syria which has taken 30,000 lives; was fixing the 16 trillion dollar U.S. federal deficit, the looming fiscal cliff set to take effect on January 1, 2013, ending all prospects of
hyper-inflation, devaluation of the dollar, and the
derivatives that could collapse Wall St. and the Economy; that He was eliminating the scourge of drug addiction, as well as the Drug Wars threatening to spill over our southern border; that He was solving the immigration issue, the threat of terrorism, and the seemingly changing weather; and along with these things Jesus says He is restoring the Constitution to its original intent, halting the rapid spread of radical Islam, eliminating AIDS and the new diseases that have arisen that resist current treatments; and that He is reversing the disturbing decline in the American Education system, as well as causing individuals to be personally financially responsible again, and fixing the problems with future of Medicare and Social Security. If Jesus appeared and fixed all these problems...America Still Would Be No Better Off.
Why? Because our problems aren't overseas or a lack of money. They aren't a result of who has or hasn't been elected. We can't blame the weather.
The problem is a nation that has turned its heart from God. As a nation, we are angry and divided, largely cut-off from the only Source of love and unity. Each one is looking out only for themselves, doing what is right in their own eyes. We are on the brink of a great war -
among ourselves. Our only hope is to stop being at war with God. Until then, no problem of this nation or the individual can be fixed.
18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:18-20
