The Senate Appropriation Committee passed the Energy & Water Appropriation Mark-up Bill. It is not sure when it will be voted on by the full Senate.
It appears the Senate Report does not have the restrictive language that 'no funds can be used for climate change', like the House Report has. This will be an item for conference, since President Obama has threatened the veto of any bill with such restrictions.
The bill prohibits funding to implement EO 13690 (implementing the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard). Generally, the Committee steered clear of any controversial riders in order to get consensus on the final bill. A highly anticipated rider to prohibit any funding to implement the Waters of the U.S. rulemaking was withdrawn, saving that battle for floor debate, or perhaps when the Interior/EPA subcommittee takes up its controversial bill, scheduled for June 16th.
