The Full House of Representatives passed the Energy & Water Appropriation Bill by a vote of 240 yea, 177 nay and 14 no vote. This not enough votes to override a veto by the President, 288 required. The veto is threatened due to anti environmental provisions.
Rep. Ralph Abraham, R-LA, submitted an amendment to the E&W appropriations bill, which passed, to prohibit funding for Executive Order 13690, which establishes the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard.
Language: "None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to implement, administer, carry out, modify, revise, or enforce Executive Order 13690 (entitled ''Establishing a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard and a Process for Further Soliciting and Considering Stakeholder Input.)"
