St. Johns County District 1 Update
The cool evenings and warm days of Northeast Florida's spring have been the topic of many conversations lately. It is hard to choose between so many festivals, car shows, and other community activities happening on the weekends and evenings. What a wonderful place to live, work, and play. High school proms are over and kids of all ages are counting down the days until summer break begins.

This is also the time of year that the County staff and Commissioners prepare and review budgets for all County-funded departments, organizations, and services provided to our residents. Thank you for attending my monthly Meet and Greet meetings. Thank you for the questions, ideas, and recommendations for how to keep our budget balanced, the quality of life high, and the needs of our community met.

Thank you also for your participation in community meetings when potential new commercial developments are considered by affected property owners to let them know what you want in your neighborhoods. It is very helpful to know where you want to shop, as well as potential employment opportunities. Keep letting me know what's important to you, so I can make informed decisions. I want our County to continue to be the healthiest in the state with top ranked schools and low crime rates. I want to thank the hard working people of our Department of Health, St. Johns County School System, and the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office for doing a great job every day. I encourage you to thank them as well. Take 30 seconds to call, email, or text someone you know who works for the County and enhances our quality of life daily.

I'm looking forward to continuing to meet and hear from you. Call me at 904.615.7437 or send me an email at [email protected].
