Reminder of important bishop election events
| |
In November, the first two key events in the election process will be held:
Fall Ministerium: "What I Know That I Think You Should Know," Nov. 14, 2013, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, St. Michael's, Roseville
A Conversation with Laity: "What I Know That I Think You Should Know," Nov. 16, 2013, 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., St. Timothy, St. Paul
At these events, Bishop Peter Rogness will share his insights into the role of the bishop, based on his thirty years' experience as a synodical bishop, and his twelve years in that role with the Saint Paul Area Synod. Those who will serve as voting members at conference assemblies in February are especially encouraged to attend.

Entering a new phase of the bishop election process
The Bishop Election Committee is currently putting together the Saint Paul Area Synod Profile, a document reflecting the current demographics of the synod and the mission, needs, and priorities identified during the Exploring Our Mission phase of the election process. The profile will be published to the bishop election website at the beginning of November. With the publication of the synod profile, the election process will be entering the second of five phases in the election process, Sharing Our Mission.
