The Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton will be installed as presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave., Chicago, Ill., 60637. The chapel is located on the campus of the University of Chicago. Worship begins at 2:00 p.m. (Central).

As we celebrate with the whole church the installation of Elizabeth Eaton as presiding bishop, we give thanks also for Bishop Mark Hanson and for the years he served among us in this synod as well as for his ministry to the whole church and the ecumenical community around the world. We wish him blessings in the years ahead as he explores new opportunities to serve and build up the body of Christ.
