2014 Bishop election website launched

The Saint Paul Area Synod will elect a new bishop in May, 2014, when the term of Bishop Peter Rogness ends. The election will take place at the 2014 synod assembly May 16-17 at Prince of Peace, Burnsville.
A Bishop Election Committee (BEC), chaired by the Rev. Tim Bernard and composed of two representatives from each conference in the synod, is in place and working to ensure a smooth transition to new synod leadership.
The BEC will provide ongoing information via the bishop election website: www.spas-elca.org/bishopelection2014.

At the 2013 synod assembly in May, the BEC conducted a survey and led a discussion of the mission, needs, and priorities of the synod.
Results of the survey and highlights of the discussion have been published on the bishop election webpage.
