Conference assemblies this Saturday!
Conference assemblies will be held on Feb. 9 at Redeemer, White Bear Lake. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Worship begins at 9:00 a.m., and will be followed by a short update about synod budget resolutions and the formation of the bishop's election committee. At 9:30 a.m., Bishop Larry Wohlrabe, Northwestern Minnesota Synod, will deliver the keynote address, entitled "Picking Up the Pieces: Stories of Diakonia After Disasters." Conferences will then meet to conduct regular business and discuss mutual concerns. Conference caucuses will conclude no later than 12:00 noon.

Annual Letter 2011 Rostered Leader Reports: Rostered leaders can complete the 2012 Annual Ministry Report at www.elca.org/rosteredleaderreports

Congregational Report: Directions for submitting your congregation's statistics are available by clicking here. Please take the time to fill out both forms A and C or forward this information onto the person in your congregation who is responsible for this task. Please have these forms completed by Feb. 15.

Seminary of the Streets explores spiritual wellness in homeless community  
Thursday, March, 14, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
First, St. Paul. Come and learn about a ministry of radical hospitality among the homeless population of St. Paul's East Side. Led by Pastor Margaret Kelly, Shobi's Table is a Word and Sacrament community that has grown out of the Wellness Center ministry at First Lutheran Church. Participants will be invited to mingle with the Wellness Center guests, join in the community meal at 6:00 p.m., and learn more about the ministry from Pastor Kelly and other leaders.

Encourage lay leaders from your congregation to register for this annual training event hosted by the Saint Paul Area Synod. Tool Kit features extended conversation with Bishop Rogness, networking opportunities with leaders from congregations throughout this synod, and workshops with information specific to leadership matters and concerns.

Traci and Lori Tapani to present at Faith and Work Gathering
Faith and Work Gathering
Tuesday, Feb. 12, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Incarnation, Shoreview. Faith and Work invites people from the employment world for presentation and conversation exploring how Christian values and faith tenets can be integrated into daily professional life. Gathering will feature a panel presentation/discussion on the concept of "Shared Leadership in the Workplace-Its Pluses/Minuses" with, Traci and Lori Tapani, co-presidents of Wyoming Machine, and Bob Wahlstedt, founder and board member of Reell Precision Manufacturing. Cost is $10 for dinner and program. Registration is due by Feb. 8, by emailing Joan Volkmann at jvolkmann@incarnationmn.org.
