Synod office closed Thursday, Nov. 29
We will be closed Thursday, Nov. 29 as the synod office staff will be attending Personnel: Law, Policies, and Practices. Regular office hours (M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) will resume Friday, Nov. 30.

Holiday Lights in the Park Nov. 20 -Jan. 1. nightly, 5:30-10:00 p.m. IBEW Holiday Lights in the Park in partnership with King of Kings, Woodbury returns for its 5th season at Phalen Park in St. Paul. Proceeds will benefit the Union Gospel Mission, Second Harvest Hartland, Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, and UnderConstruction. The cost is $10 per vehicle, $8 Value Nights (Sun.-Thurs. discounts not available on holidays).

Seasonings of the Synod: 1,000 Days...1,000 Conversations
Women of the ELCA, Bread for the World, and countless other agencies and organizations both here and abroad support the "1,000 Days" partnership. This partnership targets action and investment to improve nutrition for mothers and children in the 1,000 day period from pregnancy to age two. These critical thousand days have a lifelong impact on a child's future-better nutrition means a better life, physically, mentally, and emotionally. The Real Star of Bethlehem
King of Kings, Woodbury. Amateur astronomer, Charlie Cowman will give an updated version of a talk on the Star of Bethlehem. Find out when Jesus was really born, and what the real timeline of the Christmas story was. This presentation is appropriate for families with older children.
