Community News & Announcements: SHOUT OUT! "The City of Bothell street resurfacing crew resurfaced the whole of 9th Ave SE (just over a mile in length). It was done with amazing speed and efficiency; It was like watching a well choreographed ballet or precision military drill. Trucks came and unloaded their tarmac into the surfacing hopper just in time with no holdups whatsoever. A great job: Well done, City."

City of Bothell Press Release
"At their regularly scheduled meeting May 3, the Bothell City Council decided by a vote of 5-2 to terminate City Manager Robert Stowe from his employment. The Council exercised the employment contract's option to 'terminate not for cause.' Stowe will be paid up to 12 months' salary in severance pay per the contract agreed to by the City Council. 'The City has benefitted from Mr. Stowe's efforts during his tenure,' said Mayor Andy Rheaume. 'It's time to take the City in a new direction.'"
The Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors voted in favor of having Chair, Shawna Pitts, speak during the public comment period at the Tuesday, May 10 Council Meeting. Pitts expressed to the Council that our members have voiced concerns regarding the Council's "new direction." Pitts asked that the Council address the concerns we have received and utilize our Chamber to help articulate their vision to our business community.
We will keep you updated. If you have any questions, please email Executive Director, Brittany Caldwell at Brittany@BothellChamber.com.

Payscale.com Ranks UW Bothell Top 50 In The Nation for Return On Investment!
University of Washington Bothell ranks among the top colleges and universities in the nation -- and first in the state -- in a listing that compares their return on investment.
PayScale.com ranks UW Bothell No. 42 for in-state students and No. 76 for out-of-state students. (Public institutions are ranked twice because of the difference in tuition for in-state and out-of-state tuition, but private institutions are ranked once because in- and out-of-state students pay the same.) There is no school, public or private, in the state of Washington that ranks higher than UW Bothell.
