Saint Edward Park Seminary Project
Daniels Real Estate, a Seattle-based development firm, is proposing to rehabilitate the historic Seminary building at Saint Edward State Park. The firm's goal is to make the aging building economically viable while retaining its historic character. The firm has submitted a concept proposal to State Parks that reuses the building as a "great lodge." The project is designed to expand and improve outdoor recreation at the park, while allowing all visitors the opportunity to use and enjoy the Seminary.
The Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce & Kenmore Business Alliance Board of Directors have voted to support the proposal as articulated by Daniels Real Estate. Click here to view a summary of the project.
Lend Your Support on the Sound Transit 3 Draft Plan
On Thursday, March 24, the Sound Transit Board proposed a Sound Transit 3 (ST3) Draft Plan for public review. Included in the draft plan is a project to provide Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service on SR 522 from Bothell, through Kenmore and up NE 145th Street to the future light rail station to I-5.
The City encourages all Kenmore residents and businesses to lend their support to help ensure the north Lake Washington projects are retained in the final plan. The deadline to provide feedback is April 29.
Here's what you can do to help ensure these projects are retained in the final plan:
Be sure to support all 3 projects:
* Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on SR 522 and NE 145th St.
* Additional parking structures along SR 522 to provide access to BRT
* Light Rail Study for future SR 522 light rail
2. Send a short email to the Sound Transit Board, at: firstname.lastname@example.org
. Let the Sound Transit Board know that these projects are vitally important and should be retained in the final project list to be approved by the ST Board in June and submitted to voters in November. Be sure to include where you live (i.e., Kenmore, Bothell, Lake Forest Park, etc). Remember, the email can be short - just expressing your support of the 3 projects is enough.
