Bothell Residents: Time to Weigh-in On The Need For City Projects

CityLogoColor
The City of Bothell wants to hear from you about how it should spend taxpayer dollars and other revenues on infrastructure such as parks, open space, traffic improvements, and sidewalks.  Your participation is important as the City develops the 2017-2023 Capital Facilities Plan (CFP) and Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The City Council adopts an updated CFP every two years (Resolution 1183).  This plan prioritizes how the City spends money on Facilities, Parks and Open Spaces, Transportation, Water Utility, Storm Utility, and Sewer Utility projects.  Projects have been identified as priorities and typically are at least partially funded. The Council adopts a revised TIP every year, consisting of transportation projects only.  Not all projects on this list are funded.

Residents can submit project requests now through April 18.

Other important opportunities to learn more and give your input:
* March 31, 5:30-7pm CFP Update Open House #1, City Hall Room 107/108
* June 15, 5:30-7pm CFP Update Open House #2, City Hall Room 107/108
* September 20 (tentative): Council Study Session on the CFPPC recommended 2017-2023 CFP
* October 11 (tentative): Public Hearing with possible Council adoption of the 2017-2023 CFP to follow.

Click here for more detailed information about the Capital Facilities Plan, or contact Public Works Director, Erin Leonhart, 425-806-6810.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for
Multiway Boulevard Project
Thursday, April 14
10:00 AM
Bothell Way NE between NE 183rd & NE 185th Streets

Please join the City of Bothell as we continue celebrating Bothell's downtown revitalization! The City invites you to a groundbreaking ceremony to mark commencement of the Multiway Boulevard Project final phase.

A majority of the west side of the Multiway Boulevard was completed in 2014.  In 2017, when the entire project is completed, pedestrians will be able to cross back and forth easily between the historic downtown on the east side of Bothell Way and the newly developing west side.  The tree-lined boulevard design balances competing needs for roadway capacity, local access, street parking, urban density, and pedestrian comfort.  Motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders will share the benefits of multimodal transportation options in downtown Bothell.

Please RSVP to Catherine Jansen 425.806.6145 or catherine.jansen@bothellwa.gov
