The Kenmore City Council welcomes your participation in the process of local government. Located in the Kenmore City Hall, Council Chambers, 18120 68th Ave. NE, Kenmore, these meetings are open to the public, and public comments are accepted at the beginning of the meeting.
Coffee with Council 1st Monday or 3rd Saturday of each Month 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM respectively The Council invites you to have Coffee with Council at 7:30 AM on the 1st Monday and 8:00 AM on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Espresso Works, 6734 NE 181st Street. Citizens are encouraged to attend these informal sessions to ask questions, discuss issues and offer suggestions on any topic of interest. The City of Kenmore and the Kenmore Library Present... Volunteerism Alive! Tuesday, April 7 4:00 - 6:00 PM Kenmore City Hall,18120 68th Avenue Northeast, Kenmore, WA * Learn about volunteer opportunities in your community. * See the tremendous impact volunteers have in Kenmore. Kenmore Hydroplane Cup Saturday, April 11 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Awards Ceremony The Seattle Outboard Association is bringing back the Kenmore Hydroplane Cup for its second year. The event will be held on the north end of Lake Washington at the Kenmore Boat Launch and Log Boom Park. The timed exhibition race will feature a variety of boats including two cylinder and three-and-up cylinder boats, a Native American war canoe, and junior hydroplanes. Competitors will race one or two boats at a time up the Sammamish River, navigate around the challenging oval course and back to the Kenmore Boat Launch. See Poster here. Parks Appreciation Day Seeks Volunteers Saturday, April 25 9:00 AM - Noon Kenmore community events create memories, bring the community together, and showcase the beautiful parks of Kenmore. Join local groups, businesses, and residents at the annual Parks Appreciation Day clean up event on Saturday, April 25th from 9 AM to noon. Volunteers will be cleaning, pruning, and weeding at two Kenmore parks: Rhododendron Park (6910 NE 170th St) and Log Boom Park (17415 61st Ave NE). Bring your favorite work gloves and come dressed for the weather! The City will provide the equipment. Make sure you stay after the event for our annual volunteer appreciation barbeque at Rhododendron Park from noon to 1 PM. Volunteers under the age of 18 or groups of volunteers will need to pre-register. Adult volunteers can register at the event. Your Kids Can Learn to Paddle in Kenmore! No Experience Required; Scholarships Available for Low Income Youth. The City of Kenmore is partnering with the Kenmore Waterfront Activities Center at Squire's Landing Park to provide recreational paddling programs for the public. The City's newly-acquired park property on the calm Sammamish River make it an ideal location for all paddlers, especially youth and beginners.
