Seattle's New Minimum Wage Phase in Starting April 1st
 The new minimum wage legislation passed by Seattle City Council and signed into law by Mayor Murray provides for an increase in the minimum wage in the City of Seattle to $15 an hour, phased in over time, beginning April 2015: * Small employers (businesses with fewer than 500 employees) will reach a $15 an hour minimum wage in seven years. Also established is a temporary guaranteed minimum compensation responsibility of $15 an hour to be met within the first five years, which can be achieved by combining employer-paid health care contributions, consumer-paid tips, and employer-paid wages. * Large employers (businesses with 500 or more employees, either in Seattle or nationally) will reach $15 per hour in three years. The wages of employees who receive health care benefits will reach $15 per hour in four years. Grocery Store to Anchor Downtown Bothell A purchase and sale and development agreement is now in place with Regency Centers Acquisition, LLC for a city-owned block in downtown Bothell.
For over 50 years, Regency Centers has owned, operated and developed dominant, grocery-anchored retail centers that are exceptionally merchandised and maintained. The block, referred to as "Block D," is located along the improved section of SR 522, directly across from the Park at Bothell Landing. Anchoring the Block D site will be a specialty grocery, together with complementary restaurants, retail shops, and other uses consistent with the Bothell's re-imagined Downtown. Read more.

NPACF Dancing with your Northshore Stars includes Three Chamber Members Saturday, April 11
7:30 PM
NPAC, BHS Campus Dancing with the Northshore Stars will bring together a fun set of community members. Similar to the popular TV show, they are paired up with professionals to learn a ballroom dance routine over one week. The Northshore Stars, smartly costumed, will appear on video, and a judging panel, as well as the audience, will vote for who will win the mirror ball trophy.
While the votes are counted, you will be treated to a showcase of professional dancing with the Utah Ballroom Dance Company.

Northshore Senior Center Benefit Events Proceeds from these events benefit programs at Northshore Senior Center. All events take place at Northshore Senior Center, 10201 East Riverside Dr., Bothell. Craft and Jewelry Sale, April 17 & 18 - You will love the assortment of jewelry at good prices. Plus great buys on the crafts available for purchase. Shop and benefit the Senior Center at the same time. Friday, Apr 17, 9am - 4pm and Saturday, Apr 18, 8:30am - Noon.
Fine Art Show, April 17 & 18 - Artists include seniors in the arts programs, Northshore, Kenmore, and Woodinville. We feature art work in watercolors, oil/acrylic painting, pastels, drawing, colored pencil, driftwood sculpture, sculpture, woodcarving and clay sculpture. Come pick your favorite pieces in each category for a "People"s Choice" award to be given Sat. pm, 2:30pm. Art Show hours are Friday, Apr 17, 1pm - 4pm, Saturday, Apr 18, 9am - 3 pm.

Estate Planning and Legacy Giving, April 17 - This is a new program with no admission fee. Learn about estate planning and how to leave a legacy planned gift. Learn how planned gifts can save you taxes, provide an income for life and benefit a nonprofit, while also getting your estate in order. Presentations will be on the third Friday of each month. The first presentation will be Apr 17, 12:30pm-1:30pm at Northshore Senior Center. The presenter will be Randy Busch. Pre-registration is not needed.
Pancake Breakfast, April 18 - Cooked to order breakfast available Saturday, Apr 18, 8:00 - 11:00 AM. $5.00 per person. We will be serving pancakes, eggs, ham, coffee or tea. No tickets or reservations needed.
