Join the East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition for a day of learning and lobbying in Olympia. Eastside legislators will address the most pressing legislative issues for business: education, transportation, and economic development.

 

The Coalition's Chamber Day is a great opportunity to share your story with an Eastside legislator, learn more about state government, and engage in worthwhile conversations with business colleagues and advocates.

Pancake Breakfast. February 7, 8:00 - 11:00 AM. Join the NSC for a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs, ham, coffee or tea.  All ages welcome. No tickets or reservations needed. $5 per person. Proceeds support programs at Northshore Senior Center. Breakfasts are held at Northshore Senior Center.

 

"Chicken Soup" For the Brain, Part l. This workshop will explore different approaches for memory enhancement. During the 4 session workshop, you will learn: theories about memory; how to differentiate between memory loss that is part of normal aging versus possible onset of dementia; "exercises" for the left brain and the right brain; strategies for improving recall and general memory.  Sessions are free but pre-registration is required. Bastyr Hosts "Mindfulness for Stress Reduction"

Left untreated, stress can exacerbate and even cause chronic ailments.  One way to start tackling your stress is through mindfulness and such practices as meditation, yoga, nutrition, and hydrotherapy. Join Dr. Brad Lichtenstein, ND, BCB, who supervises mind-body medicine appointments at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. In this free talk on Thursday, February 12, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Dr. Lichtenstein will offer tips to help you take that first step toward stress reduction.

A signature project in Bothell's ambitious vision for its downtown revitalization, the new city hall will be part of a vibrant, multi-use block known as the "City Center."  The mixed-use gathering place includes a three-story, 251-car parking structure beneath a 53,000 square foot office building and town hall/community meeting rooms
