Holiday Pops and Dessert: Reservations needed by Dec 3. Event: Tuesday, Dec 9, 7:30 - 9:30 PM. $3 per person.  Join us for an evening of holiday and traditional music by the 60 piece Boeing Employees Concert Band. We will conclude the evening with cookies/brownies and coffee.

 

Northshore Wranglers Program: On Friday, Dec 5, 7:00 - 9:30 PM, the Northshore Wranglers Program will present the 2014 Music Project. The event will be held at Northshore Senior Center. Entry is free with donations accepted to support the Northshore Wranglers Special Recreation and Community Inclusion Project. All donations received help support and sustain weekly opportunities in Wrangler Programming. For the 2014 performance, a donor has pledged to match donations up to $1000.

The Music Project ties the study of music with a singing performance experience to create a unique program that empowers students. Bernadette Bascom is the creator of the Music Project. She has opened for acts such as Ray Charles and performed with acts such as Elton John and Stevie Wonder. For 15 years she was a headliner on the Las Vegas strip.

 

Since 1998 the Northshore Wranglers Program has offered activities, advocacy and support for individuals of all ages with intellectual, cognitive and developmental disabilities. The Wrangers is a non-profit program of the Northshore Senior Center's Health and Wellness Department.

Homeward Pet's Holiday Pet Food Drive
Friday, November 28 - Wednesday, December 31

Join Homeward Pet for their annual Holiday Pet Food Drive to help animals and families in need in our community. Beginning November 28th and continuing through December 31st, you can drop off your dog or cat food donations at any of our participating locations, or bring your donations to Homeward Pet Adoption Center any day from 9 AM - 6 PM. You may also bring your items to the Chamber office and staff will happily deliver them to Homeward Pet.

Donated pet food and supplies will fill the shelves at food banks in Redmond, Everett, Maltby, Monroe, Canyon Park and Snohomish (distribution dates and times determined by individual organizations) - keeping pets home for the holidays and helping us care for the homeless animals at Homeward Pet until they find their forever homes.

Santa Arrives at Country Village!
Saturday, December 6
10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

It's a holiday wonderland at Country Village with live reindeer, caroling by local choirs all day long, whimsical gingerbread house display, surprise visit by the Grinch, and 40 local shops and restaurants all decked out in their best with thousands of twinkling lights. An animated light display featuring a 40' sea serpent, fiddling pig, giant dragonfly, marching ducks and more!

Be sure to visit Santa's Workshop featuring on the spot Santa Photos. Complimentary hot roasted chestnuts begin at 4:00 PM 'til they run out.  Our own Town Crier will herald the arrival of Santa at 7:00 PM on his dazzling Christmas float followed by a traditional tree lighting.  Everyone will get a chance to greet Santa and receive a candy cane.

The Gingerbread House Contest winners will be announced just before Santa arrives. Doll House Baked Goods will be selling tasty holiday treats at Santa's Workshop. Pony and train rides (weather permitting) are open for a nominal fee.  This event is free and open to the public.

This workshop focuses on helping parents learn how sensory processing differences contribute to their child's ability to cope with daily routines and activities.  Expert Beth Tenace, MS, OTR/L will be discussing Sensory Processing Theory. This presentation will be an introduction to Sensory Processing Theory and how differences might contribute to fears, tantrums, and other inappropriate behaviors. You will learn sensory strategies to help calm, regulate and better organize your child's day.
