Kenmore Business Free Seminar Series: "A Great Brand is Great for Business" Tonight!
Wednesday, June 11

City of Kenmore Logo Kenmore Business Free Seminar Series featuring Kenmore Business Incubator Mentors continues on June 11 at 7:00 PM at Kenmore City Hall. "A Great Brand is Great for Business", featuring speaker, Troy Turner, Founder and President of V2 Works.

What is a Brand? It's not a logo. It's not an identity. It's not a product. A brand is a person's perception of a product, service or business. This impression is simply based on a customer's gut feeling. People are emotional, intuitive beings, and they are not simply looking to purchase something; they are looking for confirmation of their way of life. Learn what it takes to stand out and be different.

During this session we will cover subjects such as: What is a true brand; Why is your brand so important; Brandgineering by Design; Brand Victory.

Come Prepared: Get some one on one time with Troy by emailing ([email protected]). Send your questions and attach any images before June 9th and he will address them specifically either during the seminar or if you like after the meeting is over. Take advantage of his 30+ years in branding.

Bothell City Council Approved Building a New City Hall

CityLogoColor

At their meeting on June 3, 2014, the Bothell City Council approved construction of a new City Hall building, replacing the current City Hall which was built in 1938. Construction is scheduled to start in late July 2014 and is expected to take 15 months.

"This is an exciting moment for the City of Bothell, and I thank the citizens of Bothell for their input and support of this important public facility," said Mayor Joshua Freed. Mayor Freed further remarked, "In the last 10 years, no project has undergone more public evaluation and discussion than the City Hall project. Over the last 8 years alone, there have been 27 public discussions related to the development of a new City Hall. Throughout the public discussions, the community has demonstrated general consensus regarding the need and location for the facility. Most recent discussions focused on examining and determining the right time to build the facility. The Bothell City Council determined on June 3, 2014, that now is the right time to build the City Hall given Bothell's positive economic environment along with historically low interest rates and material and labor costs." Superintendent Larry Francois shared at the Chamber's May Luncheon that the Northshore School District ended their online community survey and selected eight possible names for the new high school, slated to open in fall 2017.

An online survey was launched from March until the end of April to get the public's opinion. Results from the survey were forwarded to the district's High School Grade Reconfiguration Task Force, which narrowed the list down to eight names. Potential names are Canyon Ridge High School, Duwamish High School, Greenview High School, North Creek High School, North View High School, Northbrook High School, Pacific Crest High School and Tambark High School.
