May General Meeting "Happiness Starts With Gratitude"

Thursday, May 22

7:30 - 9:00 AM

David George Brooke - That Gratitude Guy, presents a fast paced 30-minute talk on the incredible transformative power of embracing gratitude. By applying the lessons of living with gratitude, David illustrates how any situation in life, no matter how stressful or tragic, can be re-framed and re-focused into a fulfilling journey by using the simple principles of gratefulness. Be prepared to look at your life differently, and experience the feeling of creating "an attitude of gratitude." It has the power to completely transform your outlook, your happiness, and your quality of life.

Join us for the GBCC monthly meeting at the Northshore Senior Center. Socialize, network, get updates from the Chamber and find out what is happening around the community. New members will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business.

King County "Best Workplaces for Recycling and Waste Reduction" Contest

King County Recycling

King County recently posted its application for the fifth annual "Best Workplaces for Recycling and Waste Reduction" list, to spotlight local companies with exceptional programs for recycling, reuse and waste prevention. Last year, four businesses in Bothell m

ade the list.

The deadline for businesses to apply is June 13 and the list will be announced in July.

To qualify as a Best Workplace for Recycling and Waste Reduction, organizations must meet at least 15 criteria out of a comprehensive list of best practices-choices that range from placing recycling bins by every desk, to collecting food scraps for on or off-site composting, to setting printers to double-sided printing.
