SHOUT OUT!

Shout Out

"A huge THANK YOU to Molly Phillips of Phillips Insurance. We were one of the "small" group of the self-insured who got our policies cancelled at the end of 2013. Molly, the representative for our cancelled policy, worked with me to make our way through the state health-plan website and successfully set up our new policy. Thanks to Molly, Richard Olson (OlsonDesign) and Susan Gardner (NPACF volunteer) continue to be covered." Submitted by Susan Gardner

Please send your announcements, congratulations, testimonials and thank you's to Brittany@bothellchamber.com.

This keynote focuses on what it takes to make your customers talk about you or your business to other people. Creating advocates, that help you grow your business, comes from not only doing what the customer expects, but doing what they don't expect. UW Bothell One of 19 Colleges That Offer Access, Affordability, Success

UWB Logo
The University of Washington appeared on an exclusive list last week when the Center on Higher Education Reform named its Seattle and Bothell campuses among just 19 schools that do well on measures of access, affordability and success.

The study looked for colleges in which at least one-quarter of undergraduates were low-income, at least 50 percent of students graduated in six years and where the "net price" for low-income students was less than $10,000. Only 19 colleges out of 1,700 nationwide made the list. Read more...

Homeward Pet's 24th Anniversary Month!

Homeward Pet 24th Anniv. Logo This February, they celebrate their 24th year as one of Washington's leading no-kill animal shelters!  With your generous support, they've been able to find forever homes for over 22,000 cats and dogs...so far.  For their 24th Anniversary, your $24 donation will help them save even more lives.

Just $24 goes a long way toward helping a homeless animal.  At Homeward Pet - where over 75% of every dollar donated goes to the care of our animals - $24 will pay for:

-vaccinations to help prevent life-threatening illnesses in one cat for a year
-food for a large dog for a month
-a feline FeLV/FIV test
-a martingale collar and leash for an adopted dog
-canned food to feed a litter of kittens for a week
-microchip implantation and lifetime registration for a dog

Working together, there's so much we can do. Please help them achieve their anniversary goal - 240 donations of just $24 this month!  Thank you for your support!

NPAC Presents: Dancing with the Northshore Stars!
Saturday, March 1
7:30 PM
Northshore Performing Arts Center located on Bothell High Campus

Dancing w/the Stars
Ballroom dancing comes to the NPAC stage and our own Northshore Stars compete for top honors.

Thrilling audiences worldwide through this unique form of dance is the Utah Ballroom Dance Company (UBDC), which will instruct our dancers. This company features some of the nation's top ballroom dance athletes who have performed nationally and internationally receiving numerous accolades and awards such as the coveted U.S. National Formation Championships.

Our Northshore Stars are Dale Amundsen (Evergreen Washelli), Tom Bainter (Head Football Coach, Bothell High School), Carol Cummings (Chief of Police, Bothell), Carmin Dalziel (Northshore Schools Foundation), Dusty DuBois (Bothell Chiropractic and Wellness), and Richard Olson (OlsonDesign Jewelry). Similar to the popular TV show, they are paired up with professionals to learn a ballroom dance routine over one week.  The Northshore Stars, smartly costumed and introduced with video clips, will compete for your vote and those of a judging panel, to win the mirror ball trophy. While the votes are counted in the second part of the program, you will be treated to a showcase of professional dancing.

Oh, and most dancers were present for a little warm-up. Tom Bainter had a conflict and should not be penalized for not appearing in this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFJjU7rYXmA

Adults: $30, Seniors: $27, Youth: $17
