Community News & Announcements: SHOUT OUT!
"THANK YOU, Matt Phelps, Bothell Reporter! You asked for a photo to accompany front page coverage for NPACF's Nutcracker. The Foundation was thrilled. The Reporter is the only way that the majority of Bothell's residents (and Kenmore's) can learn about what is being presented by the Northshore Performing Arts Center Foundation, including this holiday offering. The Reporter's front page photo was a colorful reminder that it's time to get into the holiday spirit of the season." Submitted by Susan Gardner, NPACF volunteer.
Please send your announcements, congratulations, testimonials and thank you's to info@bothellchamber.com.

Kiddie Academy of Bothell Held 2nd Annual Northwest Harvest Food Drive

In the spirit of compassion, Kiddie Academy of Bothell held their second annual Northwest Harvest Food Drive, with families donating 2,701 items to those in need around their community. Volunteering supports character education, a critical part of Kiddie Academy's Life Essentials® curriculum, and it is with this notion that Kiddie Academy teaches compassion as part of their program in the month of November. "Seeing food donated daily ensured that all of our children had conversations with their friends, teachers, and parents as they walked down our hallways," says academy director Aleksa Overby. "We're grateful that our academy families are making a difference and we hope this feeling of volunteerism, generosity and compassion continues to spread throughout our community."
Kiddie Academy® is a leader in education-based child care, offering full and part-time care, before and after-school care and summer camp programs to Bothell families and their children. For more information about Kiddie Academy of Bothell, please contact Steve Ahrens at 425.485.7200 or bothell@kiddieacademy.net or kiddieacademy.com/bothell.

Bothell Historical Museum Needs Your Help to "Spread the News"!
The Bothell Historical Museum is looking for contributions for their 'Spread the News!' project to convert the Bothell Sentinel newspaper, published from 1908 to 1935, from microfiche to digital format. The digital format will be available on a free public website as a searchable resource about Bothell history. The microfiche copies will become unreadable in the future, as the readers and spare parts are not being made anymore.
The total cost of this project is estimated at $10,500, they have raised $7,000 so far! Funds raised in excess of actual project costs will be used for digitizing the Bothell/Northshore Citizen papers (1933 to 2001).
Contributions will be acknowledged on the newspaper website, with business links if requested. The Bothell Historical Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation, and all donations are tax deductible. Contributions are needed by December 31, 2013. Please send to: Bothell Historical Museum Society PO Box 313 Bothell, WA 98041 or email us at bothellmuseum@gmail.com. |
