Emergency Shelter Volunteers Needed
The City of Kenmore is partnering with adjacent cities to provide shelters during disasters. The City must develop a cadre of trained volunteers who will be able to open, work in, and manage the shelter. Jobs might include shelter setup, registration and orientation, translation services, meal/snack preparation, cleanup, or child respite care.

Are you, or someone you know, willing to volunteer? The required training for Shelter Operations will be provided by the Red Cross. The training consists of one 4-hour class. The class is tentatively scheduled for November 16, 2013.

For more information, or to register as a potential volunteer, please contact Cindy Shelton at cshelton@kenmorewa.gov or 425.398.8900.
