Northshore Fire Department Open House Join in the fun at the Northshore Fire Department Open House this Saturday, June 15 from 9:00AM to noon. The free event features a pancake breakfast (from 9-11 AM), a health and safety fair, and live firefighter demonstrations. Lots of activities for kids, including tours of the fire engine, aide car and rescue truck.
Kenmore Art Show Join us for the 15th annual Kenmore Art Show, presented by The Arts of Kenmore and sponsored by Bastyr University. The Kenmore Art Show runs from June 27-30 at Bastyr University. The highly regarded show features juried, original works of art that include paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, digital new media art, artisan works, youth art and art made from repurposed materials. All art on exhibit is available for purchase. The show will also feature nightly entertainment and three guest speaker programs that will be held in the Bastyr University Auditorium. Library2Go! at Kenmore City Hall The King County Library System mini-bookmobile will be at Kenmore City Hall on June 22 and July 14 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Come check out books, movies, music CDs and more.
Kenmore's Fourth of July Fireworks Show
Celebrate the 4th of July with a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Washington. The fireworks display blasts off at 10:00PM at Log Boom Park. For event details, visit www.kenmorewa.gov/events.
Kenmore Summer Concert Series The City of Kenmore invites you to attend the 11th annual Summer Concert Series. These free, popular concerts run for six consecutive Thursdays starting July 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Saint Edward State Park. Admission and parking for the concert is FREE! Kenmore Village: Downtown Development Project
On June 10, 2013, the Kenmore City Council unanimously approved an agreement to sell the 3.3 acre lower portion of the Kenmore Village shopping center to the Benaroya Company and Real Property Investors (RPI). The 4.75 acre upper parcel Purchase & Sale Agreement remains under negotiation and will likely be presented for City Council consideration in July. The MainStreet Property Group LLC is the expected buyer of the upper lot, formerly the King County Park & Ride. Read more...

City Seeking Special Event Volunteers this Summer The City of Kenmore is gearing up for a fun-filled summer with free events for the whole family. City events this summer include 4th of July Fireworks Show, Kenmore Summer Concert Series and Kenmore Play Day.
Volunteers are needed to help the City produce these popular community events. Volunteer positions include helping with children activity areas, event set up and take down, event information tables, parking areas, hospitality and more.
Whether you are looking for ways to build skills for your resume or meet new friends, volunteering can help you achieve both while making a difference in your community. If you or your business would like to volunteer, please contact the City's Volunteer and Events Coordinator Cindy Shelton at 425.398.8900 or [email protected]. Lake Sediments Safe in Kenmore Area; Public Meeting Set on Recent Studies Final reports on lake sediments and water quality show that public areas along Lake Washington's northern tip are safe for swimming and other in-water recreation. The City of Kenmore and Washington State Department of Ecology have set a public meeting for July 11, 2013 to present these findings and answer questions about them. The meeting will take place in Kenmore City Hall. It will begin with an informal open house from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Officials and experts from the City, Ecology, the Washington State Department of Health and other agencies will be available to answer questions. A presentation and question-and-answer session will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

WhatsSup Stand Up Paddle and Kayak Expand to Log Boom!Kayak rentals in Bothell can be found at The Park at Bothell Landing. WhatsSup Stand Up Paddle and Kayak provides great family fun not only with Kayak rentals but also Canoes, Stand Up Paddle Boards and Beach Cruisers! WhatsSup is excited to say we have expanded to Log Boom Park in Kenmore opening mid June! We will be set up south of the playground at the beach, until the public float system is installed at the pier. The Kayak rentals are "sit on tops" and are easy to get in and out of. WhatsSup has singles, doubles and 2 1/2 man (tandem), great for a family. Canoes available for the experienced canoer. Standup Paddle Board Rentals bring fun to all. A new growing sport allows you to stand on water. For the land lovers WhatsSup also has Beach Cruisers a fun way to experience the Burke Gilman Trail. These activities bring together the Bothell & Kenmore communities and have made the Sammamish River come alive!
