Community News & Announcements: Shout Out!
"Thanks Seattle Home Appliance! Our refrigerator suddenly stopped working yesterday. Today not only did they "fit us in" their already booked schedule, they were on time, courteous, quick, helpful and informative. The tech fixed the fridge within a few minutes because he had the part we needed in the truck. Then the tech even vacuumed out the bottom of the fridge and cleaned everything up. Why go anywhere else." Posted by: Shelli Hugg, Hugg & Associates, PLLC
"Here's a Shout Out for Rich Wilson and the entire local crew over at Comcast Business Class. Thanks for your recent fine technical support work over at BREW Coffee, Beer and Wine in downtown Bothell. Because you went the extra mile, the Internet speed over at BREW now ROCKS! This fast Internet opens up a whole new vistas of possibility for streaming video and business networking events "live", locally, regionally, and across the planet right from BREWs excellent and thoughtfully-designed facility. Thanks again for your fine work, supporting local economic business development in such a helpful and mission critical way." Posted by Art Johnson, New World Communications

Recognizing & Preventing Senior Fraud Presented by Hugg & Associates, PLLC Tuesday, April 23 Northshore Senior Center 12:45 - 2:00 PM
Senior citizens are a rapidly increasing segment of the population and that makes them a prime target for consumer fraud.
Anyone can be the victim of fraud. There are a lot of scam artists out there, and lots of people who are willing to trust them. Seniors make up about 11% of the US population, but a higher percentage of seniors are victims of consumer fraud.
Whether through the mailbox, the telephone or the Internet, criminals are finding creative ways into people's homes. Half of those victims are age 50 and older. Being able to recognize consumer scams can reduce the likelihood of being victimized by more than 50 percent. Learn how to protect yourself!
