Country Village: "A Taste of the Holidays" Wine Tasting Event Saturday, November 17 5:00 - 8:00 PM
Start your holiday celebration with a wine tasting event at Country Village! Enjoy an evening of wine tasting, featuring 15 local wineries, each one located in a different shop throughout the village. Proceeds benefit the Northshore Performing Arts Foundation.
Tickets are required for the wine tasting - $20 in advance or $25 at the check-in booth. Online ticket sales end November 16 at midnight.
This is a "BYOG" (Bring your own glass) event. Must be 21 years of age for the wine tasting. ID required at the check-in tent when picking up your tickets.
Bottles of wine will be for sale and available on site. What a wonderful holiday gift!

Meet Kevin Smith, New Manager of Evergreen Washelli Bothell
Evergreen Washelli Bothell is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Smith as the new manager at the Bothell funeral home.
Kevin and his wife Cheryl owned and operated a historic funeral home in Altoona, PA until earlier this year when they moved to Seattle to be close to their son, daughter-in-law and now-18 month granddaughter. He joined Evergreen Washelli in October, working with Dale Amundsen. One of Kevin's first activities was as a judge in the Chamber's Chilifest at Evergreen Washelli Bothell.
Kevin and Dale are looking forward to expanding Evergreen Washelli Bothell as a place for small weddings, parties, and corporate events, in addition to life celebrations.

Proposed City of Bothell Budget Presented
At its Oct. 3 0 study session, Bothell City Council received the pro posed 2013-2014 Biennial Budget presentation from City Manager Bob Stowe. The total 2013-2014 proposed City of Bothell budget appropriation is $231,914,189. Within that, the 2013-2014 General Fund portion of the budget is $78,150,611 and proposes a balanced spending plan. The General Fund supports most of the City's basic services, including community development, engineering, general administration, parks, planning, public safety (Police and Fire) and recreation. General Fund expenditures are almost wholly funded by revenues from various taxes such as retail sales, property, and utility taxes.
