A Historic RTC Moment: We Graduated Our 1,000th Entrepreneur!
|
This January, we graduated 146 entrepreneurs from the Community Business Academy! This was a historic moment in our 10-year history, as we also graduated our 1,000th entrepreneur! Our largest CBA class to-date, the Fall 2014 class joined an alumni network of 968 CBA graduates across Northern New Jersey. We are extremely proud of our Rising Tide Entrepreneurs. Remarks From Our 1,000th CBA Graduate
|
Lana Del Rose is a Fall 2014 graduate of the Community Business Academy. Last month she launched her business Positively Jersey, a site offering merchandise and positive news stories to New Jersey residents. She shared her thoughts of what being the 1,000th CBA graduate meant to her and her fellow classmates:
"When I learned that our graduating class would tip RTC over the 1,000 graduate mark, making it a special #CBA1000 celebration, I was just excited to know our family network of entrepreneurs was so expansive.
But to be the actual 1,000th entrepreneur to graduate from the program - that is just plain cool. The experience, inspiration and tangible results I received from the Community Business Academy allowed me to begin 2015 with the courage to put my full heart and soul into a project that I love and believe in... and that is a blessing." Pamela Roundtree Shares Her Business Journey
While many people were making resolutions for the New Year, Pamela was setting new goals for her business. In a blog post, she shared her journey as a personal trainer and owner of NewBody.NewMind.NewLiving and showed how taking the Community Business Academy helped her turn her dreams into reality:
"After taking the CBA class, I learned first-hand how it teaches people to successfully run their businesses. This means showing us what being a CEO entails and how to push ourselves towards true leadership. It means leaving people with the realization that start-up money and a business name offer no guarantees for success, and insight into what does, in fact, guarantee success. Within the first few weeks of the class, people will know whether they have CEO potential."
