Progression

Greetings!

This September, 107 entrepreneurs answered the call to "Start Something," and completed submissions to the Start Something Challenge (SSC). To enter the Challenge, they created videos for their businesses and business ideas using various marketing tools to drive traffic to view their videos. These brave entrepreneurs-who represent 38 cities and towns and 13 counties across New Jersey-entered the SSC with various levels of experience in marketing.

While many were learning as they went along, most were thrilled to use the Challenge as an opportunity to make progress with heir business initiatives. We are proud of each SSC participant, and invite you to celebrate their accomplishments with us on Monday October 7 at the Start Something Challenge Kick-off in Newark.

This September, Rising Tide Capital continued our own progression towards our mission of transforming lives and communities through entrepreneurship.  A record-breaking 130 entrepreneurs--our largest class to date--were accepted into the Community Business Academy, and we worked with Michele Ashley, one of our Rising Tide Entrepreneurs, to host a second event targeted towards female entrepreneurs. We've also progressed towards replicating our programs and services to other communities. Our Programs department is currently working with Sunshine Ministries to host a session of the Community Business Academy (CBA) with their clients in Chicago. Programs team members and instructors are also working with Making Sense International to become master trainers for the game that we use in the CBA.

Our progress has been recognized with some recent national recognition.  This month, our co-founders were selected to the Empact Showcase of the Top 100 Companies in the United States.

As always, we couldn't do this work without you, and your support. Thank you for everything you do to help RTC and our entrepreneurs progress towards our goals.

 Sincerely,

The Rising Tide Capital Team

RTC partnered with Rising Tide Entrepreneur Michele Ashley to host a Women's Empowerment Event

CBA grad and Women's Empowerment expert Michele Ashley led an all-day event supporting female entrepreneurs. Attendees gathered at HCCC's Culinary Conference Center to receive coaching geared towards growing their ventures, increasing revenue, and engaging their ideal clients.
