 Recognizing Volunteers

Greetings!

Alfa is back! We're excited to welcome our CEO and co-founder Alfa Demmellash back from maternity leave. While we missed her tremendously, we were able to keep this ship afloat in her absence thanks to dedicated team members including leadership from extraordinary volunteers

That's why to recognize National Volunteer Month, we're dedicating this issue of the Currents to our friends and partners who genereously commit their time, energy and talent to support the success of Rising Tide Entrepreneurs! In this issue you'll meet our talented AmeriCorps VISTAs, including Volunteer Coordinator Ian Tyson, and learn about our Strategic Advisory Board members such as our new SAB co-chair Joe Masterson.

These are just a few of the nearly 150 professional volunteers who rally behind our mission each year. In 2012, volunteers contributed over 700 hours, supporting Rising Tide Capital's first fundraising gala, a statewide business pitch competition, and all of Rising Tide's year-round programs.

We just want to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for Rising Tide Capital in the finals of the Citi Microentrepreneurship Award!  Volunteers and friends like you make the success of our entrepreneurs possible!

Sincerely,

The Rising Tide Capital Team
