New Beginnings at Rising Tide Capital

stork

We are happy to announce that Rising Tide Capital's co-founders Alfa Demmellash and Alex Forrester welcomed a healthy baby boy, Noah Alemayehu Forrester, on January 21. Please join us in congratulating them on this momentous occasion!  If their stewardship of Rising Tide Capital is any indication of the kind of parents they will be, then Noah is one lucky baby.

We were also excited to celebrate the recent "birth" of 85 new Rising Tide Entrepreneurs, who graduated from the Community Business Academy earlier this month. In 12 intensive weeks, they received training, hands-on-activities and homework assignments to learn the fundamentals of operating and running a successful small business. For these new additions to the Rising Tide Community, completing the CBA is a good beginning, but it is just a start.

We rely on partners like  Kiva Zip and long-term supporters like Citi Community Development to help our entrepreneurs access new markets and financial capital to remain competitive in a tough economy. We also look to you. Your financial support and volunteer hours enable us to provide high quality, yet accessible year-round workshops, business coaching and other programs that sustain our CBA graduates on their business journeys. Without you, none of our 2012 achievements would have been possible.

We look forward to transitioning these new beginnings into success stories in 2013. Happy New Year to you and yours!

Sincerely,

The Rising Tide Capital team
