Greetings!

As advisor/Youth Director, you already change the lives of your teens every day. Check out the following opportunities to share with your chapter from International USY! Links are provided with additional information, but please feel free to contact us with questions!

1. Torah Bytes - USY-led video chat Torah Study. See your friends, learn something new and "hang out" with USY...in your own home, in your pajamas!

2. Do you have USYers who already make a difference in your community? Let us know! Register your community service hours so that USY can reach 18,000 hours of G'milut Chassadim through Operation 18,000.

3. Check out USY's Program Bank, Pinat Chinuch (Educator's Corner) and USY's Creative Tefillah Page for program planning resources.

4. Get your USYers pumped for IC in New Orleans! A very limited number of spaces are still available. Check out the promo video (below) and make sure your USYers have the #icnola registration link.

  •
  • Jewish Book Council Network - USY is a member of the Jewish Book Council Network. Host an author for free. There is no speaker fee, you just have to cover transportation and room/board, if necessary. Click here for a list of recommended authors/books suitable for USY; author availability can be found here. This opportunity can be a Kehilla-wide program but MUST be in partnership with USY. Please do not contact the Jewish Book Council yourself. To book an author, contact your regional youth director.
6. Want to see the world while changing the lives of USYers? Apply here to staff USY's Great Summer Escape Experiences (A.K.A. USY Israel Pilgrimage and USY on Wheels)

7. Scholarship Information: USY is incredibly proud to be a One Happy Camper grant recipient. USY on Wheels is now recognized as a Jewish summer "camp" through the Foundation of Jewish Camps "One Happy Camper" program. Your USYers can receive up to $1000 scholarship for a USY on Wheels experience. Click here for more information.

8.  How do you inspire your USYers to celebrate their Jewishness? A dugma for us all - check out Beth Shalom (Northbrook, IL) youth director, Matt Rissien's Dreidel Song: Hannukah rap. It's pure "Edu-tainment!"

Challenge your USYers to create an original "Thanksgivikkah" video, commercial, rhythm, rhyme or beat. Your chazzan may want to help out with this!

9. Did you miss your opportunity to go to Poland with USY? Now is your chance to join the USY Adult Poland Seminar this summer. This is a great way to engage parents in the wonderful world of USY. Click here for details about this program.
Sincerely,
Amy Dorsch USY Education Coordinator
