Check out news and ideas you can use for chapter success
1. Save the Date!
Global Day of Jewish Learning - November 17, 2013!
Join thousands of Jews around the globe in a one day experience of Jewish learning and exploration on the theme of Creativity and Collaboration
! Your chapter can participate in the Global Day of Jewish Learning with thousands of other Jews. Click here for more information about the event.
Quick ideas for how your chapter can join this global Jewish event:
  • Click in to Youtube or Google Hangout for the 24x24 program - 24 locations, 24 hours of Jewish learning.
  • Host a Heschel Honor Society pizza night featuring some engaging Jewish learning. Use one of the lesson plans from USY's Pinat Chinuch/Educator's Corner and add your own creative twist to the material.
  • Collaborate creatively with your congregational school and have your USYers run a fun and educational program for the younger students. Little ones love to dance and sing with the "big kids" and this gives your USYers a chance to be dugma'ot within the congregational school.
  • Midrash is likely the best example of Rabbinic collaboration and creativity. Teach your USYers about using Midrash to understand Jewish tradition on their own terms. If you would like ideas on how to use Midrash creatively with your USYers, email Amy Dorsch.
  • Collaborate creatively on a  chapter USY project using various media such as art, photography, video, song and more!
